About the Journal

The Federal University Dutsin-Ma Journal of Agriculture and Agricultural Technology (FUDMA-JAAT) hereby calls for the submission of original scientific articles for publication in its next edition (i.e. June, 2023 issue). The articles should have a focus in agriculture (Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Extension, Animal Production/Health, Crop Production/Protection, Soil Science, Food processing); Forestry/Wildlife Management; Fisheries/Aquaculture and cross-cutting topics from the field of Geography, Biology, Energy, Environment, etc.

Procedure for submission of manuscripts

 Interested authors should:

  1. submit their manuscript(s) electronically through jaat@fudutsinma.edu.ng  
  2. All articles must be accompanied by a scanned copy of evidence of payment of the handling fee (N5,000.00 and $15 for the local and international charges, respectively.
  3. All authors whose articles have been accepted for publication will then pay a publication fee of N20,000 and $45 for local and international charges respectively before the article will be published. Scanned copy of evidence of payment of publication fee must accompany the article(s) that is/are ready for publication
  4. All payment should be made into the Journal Account with the following details:

Please DO NOT PAY through POS or any means that will not show the description and the name of the Depositor.

Manuscripts should mainly include the following sections: Title page, abstract (250 words max), main body (introduction, theoretical framework, materials and methods, results and discussion, conclusion recommendations), and references.

General steps:

  1. The manuscript should be 10 to 12 pages excluding title page, abstract, references and annex.
  2. The preferred font of the Journal is Times New Roman. The font size is 12 with single space.   
  3. APA (American Psychological Association) is used as the method in sources citation process. Details about APA format can be found here: http://www.apastyle.org/  
  4. All documents should be submitted as MS Word (compatibility mode) ‘doc’ file.
  5. All submission should be submitted to jaat@fudutsinma.edu.ng
  • Please do not break your pages and there should be no paginations.
  • Authors should be aware that articles submitted are screened using Ithenticate programme and any article with more than 29% similarity will be returned without further processing. Authors of such articles shall be informed immediately
  • All authors submitting manuscripts are encouraged to provide their ORCID under their address(es).
